this might be an unpopular opinion, but the peeling scene wasn’t that gross tbh. yes, peeling skin irl is gross. but i honestly just kinda picture the skin in that scene in the episode as tape or plastic wrap being peeled off lol. or like when you get a new iphone and you peel the screen protector thing off. which is satisfying. so that scene is slightly satisfying to me. HOWEVER, the rest of the episode is garbage. well, kinda. the scene where blossom is getting the phone lasts for like 3 MINUTES!!!!!! A MAJORITY OF THE EPISODE IS LITERALLY THAY DISGUSTING CLOSE UP CRAP OF THE BURNT SKIN!!!!!!!! it makes me so squeamish and grossed out. like omg, the poor girls. it makes me sad to see them in such pain😖i actually know how that feels though because about 2-3 years ago, we went to the beach and i didn’t put sunscreen on my legs. EVERYWHERE ON MY LEGS got super severely burned and it hurt so badly. i was so red. i was in pain for like a week. it even hurt to pull my pants up/down when i was going to the bathroom. but yeah. this episode could’ve been done SO MUCH BETTER. the “sunscreen is for nerds” thing is SUCH a buttercup thing. blossom would definitely be the one who’d be like, “now girls, if we want to protect ourselves from the sun’s harmful rays, (or skin cancer lmao), then we should listen to the professor and wear our sunscreen.” and bubbles would definitely follow behind her. maybe the episode should’ve been written THAT way instead!!!! instead of all 3 of them getting burned, the episode could have just focused on buttercup getting burned, and that could be the lesson of the episode. i think it would be a much better premise. of course without the disgusting closeups of the skin throbbing and stuff like that 😖😖it could be similar to down n dirty or moral decay (like, how the events played out i mean)

Seasons 5 and 6 didn't have many good episodes. The best ones are the ones with the Rowdyruff Boys.

The only thing bad episode this episode is that it's to realistic.

I REMEMBER BEING SO UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THIS EPISODE

I barely even remember the late seasons of the Powerpuff Girls and wow it shows very much how bad the writing was and still is. Plus this was a very disturbing episode where if you don't wear sunscreen you get a cancer that won't go away which shows the lack of the message this episode brings.

I like the reboot

I hated this episode because Spongebob was rightfully upset because I stg Patrick is willfully ignorant in this episode 😭 he had every right to be angry at Patrick.

2:19- As usual. When has Patrick ever helped SpongeBob with something that doesn't bring him trouble, or pain? 3:53- I always questioned why is SpongeBob friends with Patrick. He sucks. 4:46- The citizens of Bikini Bottom are just as stupid for victim blaming SpongeBob like that. Then again I never cared too much for the background characters though.

I liked the ending to the Video with that great music.

While it’s not that difficult for me to watch in the “gross!” or “ugh that looks so painful!” way, but the fact the writer seems to focus on things that are eerily fetish-like in children’s media. The children in pain, moaning in said pain, suffering and trying to avoid it without managing to? One episode, sure, you could say the joke didn’t land or it’s an innocent mistake, but to do it again with FEET? Weird.

Yeah, this is one trend I don't miss. The "let's see how far we can push the limit" episodes.

I remember watching "Flapjack" as a kid. I don't remember watching this episode, but one episode that I found incredibly messed up was the one where Flapjack and K'nuckles get a hold of a mermaid's heart and just eat the mermaid tears inside, which were just wish-granting candy.
